Are you ready to pull an all-nighter with us? This is the one our athletes have been asking for and we can’t wait to deliver it on the March New Moon.
This course is guaranteed not to challenge you! There will be flow on and off the MTB trails as runners take on varying terrain throughout their 6km laps.

Registration fees include: Athlete photos, insurance, park access fees, finisher momento, access to athlete recovery area. Optional extra: Rent a 3mx3m exclusive gazebo space (gazebo is athlete supplied) for $30 to house your support crew and athlete gear, rent individually or for your athlete friends to share with you. Select this option at time of registration.

Are you ready to chase the moonlight? This is no ordinary race! Starting at 6pm, runners will tackle 6km every hour on the hour, navigating a gradient and terrain that promises to keep things interesting.
Choose your adventure:
Juniors & Short Course: 1 lap of fun and achievement!
Mid Course: 6 laps, running from 6pm to 12am starting each new lap on the hour each hour.
Long Course: 12 laps, pushing through the night from 6pm to 6am starting each new lap on the hour each hour.
Please note, that no running is allowed on the trails outside of this event! We have exclusive access once a year to deliver this trail running experience!

The Intermediate - guaranteed to feel the burn!
Experience an exhilarating 6 hours of running at a steady pace of 6km on the hour, every hour. As you challenge yourself and push through each block of time, you'll finish your adventure by midnight, ensuring that you can enjoy some well-deserved rest and rejuvenation afterward! Pack a swag or comfy chair and stay and support others!

Running 6km every hour on the hour for a challenging duration of 12 hours is no small feat! This unique adventure will push you through the night, from 6pm until the dawn breaks at 6am. It truly serves as the ultimate test of endurance, mental strength, and determination. Get ready to embrace the challenge and discover your limits!

Maps will not be available until the week of. This is a privately leased area and running is forbidden on the trails outside of this race.
COMPETITOR INFORMATION

3.00pm - 5.30pm - Tent Set-up, sign in and bib collection from the FINISH/START Line located at Campsites 2 & 3.
5.40pm Race briefing will be held. All competitors will start together.
The race start is self-seeded and we recommend the faster runners to position themselves at the front and slower runners at the back. This will help to prevent bottlenecks along the trail and faster runners becoming stuck behind slower runners.

Recovery Zones will be allocated upon request.
Communal marquees will be available to all runners where they can set up their recovery/feed stations. Athletes may choose their own areas under a tree or area within the ‘Communal Event Area’.
Personal 3mX3m gazebo space can be booked for an additional cost of $30.00 at time of registration. There is no minimum or maximum persons per tent.

Parking will be at the entrance to the Rowallan. Please follow all directions from marshals when arriving.
Cars will not be easily accessible from the Recovery Zone.

ALL runners to be self-sufficient. A support person is allowed to be available in the recovery zone.
A snake bandage when running on course.
Lights will be mandatory whilst on course. Electricity is not available, we recommend more than one headlamp for athletes doing 6 Laps and 12 Laps. Use your own Power Banks to recharge lights during rest periods.
Recommended gear:
Camp chair
Esky
Extra running gear including running shoes, socks and clothing (in case of wet weather)
Warm clothing for use between laps
Hydration packs and water
Fueling, electrolytes and nutrition
Mozzie spray
Buff or headscarf (for under headlamp). Do not use caps or visors under your headlamps (the visor blocks the headlamp light making sight to the ground difficult at night).

Runners will not be timed until the last lap. It is a requirement for the 6 & 12 Lap runners to meet the cut-off of 1 hour for each lap and start again on the next hour.
Top 3 Male & Female for each distance are awarded at the end of each event.
Top 3 junior boys and girls (short distance only) are awarded at 7.00pm.

Presentation will be held as follows:

6.00am - 12 Lap Runners

Bring sufficient water and nutrition for the entire duration of your run for what you require.
Each competitor is responsible for their own nutrition and fueling requirements.
We recommend bringing a chair and esky for the duration of the event to top up your supplies and rest between the finish and start of each lap.

Toilets are available at the entrance to the Park. Runners will pass by these at least once each lap.

The trails may include sections of challenging and remote single track, be sure to exercise caution on these sections.
If you DO NOT FINISH the race you must see an event official prior to leaving. If you do not report to an event official and a search party is sent out, this will be at the competitor’s cost. It may be hot so please take precautions to stay safe in the heat.
Timinig chips that are not returned will incur a direct fee of $50.00 payable by the competitor responsible for returning this to race officials.
RACE RULES

In order for our events to run as smoothly as possible we ask all athletes to cooperate and stick to our rules and regulations:
No rego, No run! – Please respect our event, we have permissions from landowners, local and state authorities and have insurances to cover our athletes. Please do not jeopardise our licences and insurances by running without a registration.
Timing Chip – This is your race bib, please display it at all times.
No shortcuts – please stick to the marked track, for safety and fairness reasons. All courses are clearly marked and we have marshals out on the course.
Fitness level – you don’t have to be the fittest to do this challenge. If you can run 10km in 80-90mins you will be able to achieve 6km in the hour.
Stick to the left side of the trails at all times.
Treat other competitors, officials, volunteers and spectators with respect and courtesy
Dress Code – please wear appropriate clothing and suitable running shoes

Do not leave any rubbish behind, this is a Private Lease Area. What you bring in you must take out.
Keep left and give way to runners passing from behind.
Don’t approach any wildlife you may come across on the trails.

If you are unable to attend the event, you have the following options:
Registrations are non-transferable 7 days prior to the event;
Transfers & Changes: Allowed up to 7 days prior to the event with a $15.00 administration fee;
Refunds are not available for this event.
All notifications should be sent in writing to info@tri-activ8.com.au.
We reserve the right to modify the course without notice, as well as reschedule or cancel the event in consultation with emergency services, government agencies, and event stakeholders.
If the event must be rescheduled, all entries will automatically carry over to the new date. In the rare event that the event is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, registered participants will receive a credit for a future event, valid for 12 months. Please note that refunds will not be available in this situation.

Athletes receive points for each run. Your total score is the sum of all your attended (and finished) races listed above.
