At Tri-ActiV8 we love training and sharing our knowledge with you. Each week we have regular group training sessions over a number of disciplines. You will find something for everyone! Training as a group is the opportunity to find extra motivation, make new friends and push a little harder. You do not need to be fast or fit to join….. you just need to START! How to Join Us

  • $78 / Fortnight

    Our Silver Membership represents the best value for those doing their own plans, however, love to be around other likeminded athletes! This is the best value for those who can attend 3 or more training sessions each week. This membership doesn’t come with a personalised plan, it allows athletes to stay connected and attend as many training sessions each week.

    Benefits include:

    • Unlimited access to all Training Sessions & group rides

    • Access to private Tri-ActiV8 FB Group

    • Direct debited by Glofox fortnightly

    2 weeks notice is to be provided to pause or cancel membership.

  • 3 Month Minimum

    $80.00 / Fortnight

    Our Gold Membership is for those who can’t make sessions, however, require a structured, specific and individual training plan.

    Athletes are managed on an online training platform, Training Peaks. Performance Coach Nikki will tailor your training program to meet your individual and race specific goals.

    Benefits include:

    • Access to training sessions (exc. V8Spin and V8 Squad)

    • Personalised Training Program

    • Training Peaks - basic

    • Workout analysis 1-2 times per week

    • Program adjustment: 1 per week

    • Access to private Tri-ActiV8 FB Group

    • Direct debit fortnightly

    2 weeks notice is to be provided to pause or cancel membership.

  • 3 Month Minimum

    $108.00 / Fortnight

    Our Platinum Membership represents the best value for our Triathletes, Multi Sport Adventurers, Runners and anyone attending Squad and/or Spin each week.

    Benefits include:

    • Unlimited access to all Training Sessions (Spin, Swim, Run, Functional Fitness, Brick).

    • Personalised Training Program

    • Training Peaks - basic

    • 10% discount on our gear

    • Workout analysis 1-2 times per week

    • Program adjustment: 1 per week

    • Access to private Tri-ActiV8 FB Group

    • Direct debit fortnightly

  • 6 Month Minimum

    $165.00 / Fortnight

    This is for the athlete who likes to plan ahead and likes to work closely with their coach. Working on racing strategies and advanced season planning. Whether you are a high performing athlete or someone returning from injury, Nikki will work closely with you to ensure that you are on track for your goals!

    Benefits include:

    • Unlimited access to all Training Sessions (Spin, Swim, Run, Functional Fitness, Brick).

    • Personalised Training Program

    • Training Peaks - Premium

    • 10% discount on our gear

    • Workout analysis 5 times per week

    • Program adjustment: Mon-Fri

    • Email/Phone Communication: daily

    • General strength & conditioning

    • Race strategy & debrief

    • Access to private Tri-ActiV8 FB Group

    • Direct debit fortnightly

    4 weeks notice is to be provided to pause or cancel membership.

  • Minimum 3 Months

    $20.00 / Fortnight

    • 2 sessions per fortnights (exc. V8Spin and V8Squad).

    • Access to the private Tri-ActiV8 FB Page.

    • Direct debit fortnightly

    Strictly limited to the 2 sessions per fortnight and not external activities.

    2 weeks notice to be provided to cancel unless changing your membership.

  • You don’t have to be a member to train with us…. you can come as many or as least times as you want! Either pay $15.00 per session or purchase a 10 session pack for $130.00.

Our Sessions……

  • Tuesday - 5.30PM

    V8 Intervals - MARC

    A fun and fast session focussing on speed and recovery. High intensity on the MARC Track. For all levels, whether you are starting out or reaching for a PB in any distance, this session is for you!

    Drills, technique and mobility focus in this session.

  • V8 Brick - Wednesday 5.00AM

    Every Wednesday in Summer we are running and swimming from the Mackay North State High School Pool on Valley Street! Running for 30mins, we then take advantage of the pool with a 1 hour squad session targeted at technique and skills. This session compliments our Friday squad sessions!

  • Wednesday - 5.30PM

    FUNctional Fitness

    A combination of pilates, yoga and physio strengthening exercises that target the triathletes smaller muscle groups. Neglected, these muscles will soon break down and lead to injury. This session is great for runners, triathletes and for general health and well-being.

  • Thursday - 5.30AM

    V8 Spin - 10 Grendon Street

    Bring your bike and prepare for a safe and fun ride on our Indoor Noza’s!

    We offer an additional Run off Bike (ROB) so you will get to practice your transitions.

    A combination of efforts, drills and technique.

  • Thursday - 5.30PM

    V8 Tempo Run

    Group run with tempo efforts based around your 5km race pace goal. Great for adding speed and intensity for longer run goals!

    Meeting at the Blue Water Quay (end of Brisbane Street) ready to run at 5.30pm. A variety of run efforts and challenges to suit any level of runner.

  • Friday - 5.30AM

    V8 Squad

    Our squad session caters for every level of swimmer. Whether you want to work on your technique or push yourself against others - this session is for you!

    Lanes are seeded - whether you are the Casino Butterfly Champion or just starting out, you will be swimming with others of similar ability!

  • Weekend Training

    Choccie Milk Runs

    Generally from the Mackay Surf Club, we head out for a longer slower distance (time in legs). This is generally followed by coffee (or choccie milk) socials. Alternatively if the weather is good we head down to the beach for an ocean swim!

    The best time of year for this is Winter! Check our schedule for details.

  • Weekend Training

    V8 Ocean Swims

    No matter what level of swimmer you are, we will ensure that you are not alone in the ocean! Depending on the weather, we support you to brave the elements as you will never know what race day brings. Great for race day simulations, wetsuit practice and swimming in a ‘pack’ or how to avoid the pack.
